RTR YouTube Video:

Racing at this location dates back to 1961. Since then there have been six different tracks, three paved and three dirt. The track was briefly known as New Venture International Speedway.

This is the smallest of the three tracks, the inner dirt oval.

Around the turn of the century Slingshots were all the rage in the northeast. Several New York dirt facilities built small tracks for the class. None lasted very long. Utica-Rome lasted two years, while the tracks at Can-Am and Fulton lasted just one year. It is believed all three were active only during the 2000-2001 seasons.

Utica-Rome had three different dirt tracks, all of which were ovals. Of course the Slingshots used the smallest of the three.
